Today is my birthday. I told my husband I'm too old now to make a big deal about it. No silly birthday parties or extravagant birthday gifts. Just a quiet night with family, Chinese food takeout and a homemade birthday cake. And rain. I love the rain. He delivered and it was a splendid birthday. Perfect actually. It even rained! After my sisters, nieces, brother-in-law and mom went home and the house was quiet again, I cracked open my fortune cookie. My fortune said "The star of happiness is shining on you". What a perfect day.
