9. She’s a great place to hide from the kids (of course, that’s just a hypothetical fact. I would never dream of hiding from my kids...)
8. She makes a damn fine mirrorball garden ornament in our front yard
7. I always have a guest room for in-laws and fire evacuees
6. After she is polished, I can put my lipstick on with professional precision (and everyone knows how important that is when you’re camping)
5. Airline passengers can spot our house from a mile away when flying over us
4. She takes us (or we take her?) places we would never otherwise go
3. As long as I own her, I am an ordained Silver Sister
2. Every time we go camping, our list of amazing family memories grows
…and the #1 reason why I love my Airstream trailer?
1. My trailer keeps me grounded. Yes, she IS a flashy icon of the fashionable mid-century modern 1960’s, but the ol’ silver girl is also a reminder that a simpler way of living existed in the not-so-distant past. Back then, folks didn’t need much to make them happy; just a big aluminum roller-toaster hitched to a clunky fake-wood paneled station wagon, and a clearing in the woods. That's it. A 5-star family vacation. It doesn't get much better than that.
